Promote frugality in all proposals, minimize partitioning, utilize bio-based and recycled materials whenever possible, design multimedia and digital infrastructure with this perspective in mind, prioritize tactile interactions over digital manipulations.

The project offers a high degree of freedom for visitors to adapt the spaces according to their daily motivation, whether they are regular users, first-time visitors (in small friend or family groups), or large groups.

Creating a welcoming, beautiful, generous, and inclusive scenographic environment that fosters well-being and self-esteem, both in spatial organization and in aspects such as lighting, design, sound environment, olfactory elements, to encourage the appropriation of spaces by all visitors, including those who are more distant from museums.

The project aims to merge two institutions in Rouen, namely the Musée des Antiquités (Museum of Antiquities) and the Muséum d’Histoire Naturelle (Natural History Museum). This is a significant initiative by Métropole Rouen Normandie, both in terms of cultural policy and from a scientific perspective. The objective is to guide citizens through the paradigm shift by highlighting “the vast system of interdependencies within the living and between the living and non-living.”

We have thus conceived the new Beauvoisine Museum as the prototype of a new generation of museums that incorporates the teachings of scientific multidisciplinarity. It is designed to be a space for meeting, reflection, and sharing around a new definition of relationships between humans and nature, as well as among humans themselves.
